Face Reality acne program
Explore a clear skin system that will have your acne under control in about three to four months, depending on your type of acne. The combined power of clinical-grade products that are customized for your skin type, with a series of twice a month treatments that have over a 90% success rate in clearing skin with mild to severe acne. You'll learn about other aggravating factors that make you break out – foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, and common ingredients in skin care formulations that might be clogging your pores (even professional and prescription products). Your Acne Specialist will educate you on why your skin is breaking out, how you can heal your skin, and will give you the tools and support to manage your acne-prone skin.
Here's an overview of the Acne Program: Receive your Acne Consultation and first treatment, begin using the required home care as directed morning and night, schedule and receive your express acne treatment twice a month. It typically takes six to eight treatments along with consistent home care over a 3 to 4 month period to get you mostly to completely clear.

Acne Consultation- $89
Your Consultation is a thorough discussion of how the Program works, what is required of you, and what we can do for your specific skin type and concern. In your appointment we will go over many acne triggers specific to your lifestyle along with an analysis of your skin to determine your skin type, acne type and skins tolerance. You'll take home the packet of information that contains all the details reviewed in the consultation including diet, supplement, birth control and medication information along with a pore clogging ingredient list and acne safe makeup handout. If you are joining the Face Reality program you'll receive a custom Face Reality home care routine you'll need to get clear. Home care products are not included in the consult price. Expect to purchase ~$150 of acne clearing products if joining the program. You are not required to join the Face Reality Program or purchase any products to receive a consultation. The consultation itself is a great way to educate yourself on what factors may be causing your breakouts.
Express Acne Treatment- $100/$108
This twice a month facial is a staple in getting your skin clear. Your Acne Specialist will determine what treatment is most appropriate for your skin. Your session will start with a cleanse, mild chemical peel or enzyme steam (neither of these are uncomfortable or will make your skin visibly peel or there might be very mild flaking.) Extractions are included with every acne treatment. Concluding your treatment we will review your home care regimen and adjusted as needed so that your skin does not over- adapt and stop responding. This service ranges from 20-40 minutes in duration. *Treatment is $100 for those who have received a face reality consult and $108 for those who have not*

Home Care Information
The most important aspect of the system is not just starting you with the right products, but learning how to use them. We test your skin to make sure you are getting the most effective products for your acne type, skin type, and skin tolerance. Your Acne Specialist will customize your home care regimen during your Consult. You'll be given all the tools you need and have guidance along the way with the best treatments and recommendations. It won’t be enough just to have the right products – it’s all about having the right routine for those products. You will learn how to use products slowly at first, so that your skin stays receptive without causing irritation or dehydration. Skin can become accustomed to products and then become less effective over time so we will adjust your regimen little by little through the program to get rid of your acne.
The average cost for first set of the twice a day product regimen is about $200. That includes, for most, a cleanser or scrub, toner, serum, moisturizer, acne med and sun protection. Sunscreen is always required! Products must be refilled as you run out and it is not recommended to use any outside products for of the duration of your skin-clearing program. You cannot get fast results without following your home care guidelines. After your initial product purchase we will update your routine every two weeks with the current products you own.
How long does it take to get clear?
Once acne starts to form in the follicle, it can take up to 90 days for a lesion to surface. Everyone's skin & acne are different, so there is no exact answer to when skin will clear up. Since acne can take 90 days to appear once it has started forming, it will generally take 3-6 months to be clear. During your consult we will talk about the expected amount of time it will take for your specific acne type to clear. Patience is extremely important during this program and I am here to walk you through every step. Properly following at home product use and coming in for regular, twice a month treatments ensures you will be getting clear as fast as possible!

A skin care professional who becomes Face Reality Certified is someone who has studied Face Reality modalities and passed a test to indicate their proficiency. Only when they become certified will Face Reality allow someone to sell and professionally use their acne products. The Face Reality Acne Specialist then also has the support from the team at Face Reality Acne Clinic when they come across a particularly difficult or unusual case of acne or similar skin condition.
